Unicorn WC ambassador John Lowe 23g review

The unicorn John Lowe darts are a bomber style dart. Available in various weights, 21g, 23g, 25g, 27g. I reviewed the 23g barrels. The barrels come with a unicorn icon case, aluminium medium stems and a set of John Lowe world champion flights in a lovely green colour.

The darts are a very basic barrel with a basic ring grip on the middle of the barrel, as you would expect with a bomber style of dart. They also come supplied with 27mm silver points, which are adequate. The length of the barrels is 38.1mm long and coming in quite wide at 7.87mm. The overall grip level in my opinion is a 2.5 on 1 to 5 scale

A classic design that has worked for the 3 time world champion over the decades. One of the greatest legends of the game, Phillip Douglas Taylor based most of darts in the 10 to 15 years on John Lowe darts, of course slightly changing the grip style but keeping the shape essentially the same.

My overall conclusion of the Unicorn John Lowe darts is that they are really nice darts, do take some getting used to if you are prodominantly a straight barrel thrower really just down to the length and width of the darts themselves, my only grievance with them is the silver points as you can see in my filmed review I swapped them out or you can scuff them up a little with some sandpaper or an Emery cloth.

Overall I rate these darts an 8.5 on scale of 1 to 10, a great dart from a legend of the game we all know and love and a welcomed addition to any darts collection.

You will find the review over on my YouTube channel Scottish Lad Does Darts Reviews.

Stay safe and keep on darting.
